The Wine Wall

New for our 2018 auction is the concept of a wine wall.  Here is how it works: we have solicited wine donations from vineyards and parishioners, enough to fill a standing structure.  There are all kinds of wine: rieslings, bold reds, pinot noir, rosé, you name it!  All the wines have been wrapped to hide their identities, numbered, and placed in the display rack.  There is a sign up sheet in front of the display rack with corresponding numbers.  To purchase a wine, write your name and bidder number on the line corresponding to the number; each bottle costs $15, which is well below the average cost of the bottles in the rack (most of the bottles are worth $20!).  Now here’s the hard part: you have to wait until the end of the auction to pick up your wine!  Why is that, you ask? Well, it is because if you pick it up during the event you might want to open it then and there, and the arrangement we have with the Melody Ballroom forbids that. So, be patient, just pick it up with your other items at the end of the auction.  Thank you, and we know that you’ll enjoy the wine you get from the Wine Wall!
